Animal Kingdom

This is my NEW Disney's Animal Kingdom Vacation Scrapbook Album
8.5 x 8.5 inch

THEME DESCRIPTION

There is a certain layout to this album. The first page "sets" the stage sort of speak. This page lists what rides we went on (in order.) The rest of the layouts addresses each of those rides. One more thing, layout 2 & 3 go togethor, 4 & 5 go togethor and so on , so when you flip the page on the album those TWO pages go togethor. The descriptions are underneath the layout.

I added a map and the parking pay stub in the envelope. Go to http://scrapbooking101.wetpaint.com/page/Envelopes to download MANY envelope styles, including the one seen above. I also added the conservation pin that you get when you donate money to the cause. The journaling is on the right listing our activities for the day.

Animal Kingdom Disney Layout

This pair of layouts are of the "Tree Of Life". The Title "Animal Kingdom" is divided between the 2. The left layout shows the monkey's face which is carved into the tree. The right layout shows the entire tree.
Individual descriptions and How-To's are under the layouts.

This page was fun. I created a 3 DIMENSIONAL photograph. First I want to mention the titles/alphabets you see. They were all printed from Scrapbook Plus software. It's called "Distressed Alphabet". I added stickers to the top of the layout. I matted them. Then, for the photograph I needed 2 of the same photo. I used the original for the top photo then made a copy of it. I increased the size a little. That one was the bottom photo and the original is on top. I added dimensional foam squares to it. Next, I added 2 clay pieces. I used Sculpey String Bean Polymer Clay along with Makins' Molds. Just press the clay into the mold and when you pull it out bake it for 10 mins at 225 degrees. Lastly, the journaling was printed out via computer. I used the Waltograph Font. It can be found free HERE. This was easy. After adding the title, I added a postcard of "The Tree of Life". I added photo corners to it. I used them because the background and the postcard border are similar in color and I needed the contrast. Then, I just added a few stickers which I matted

Animal Kingdom Disney Layout
These layouts are of "The Oasis" section of the park. When you enter the park you will be in "The Oasis".

You walk into the "Oasis" section of the park when you enter the AK. I matted the photo and the title. This photo is of 2 monkeys chasing each other. There were 4 of these posts in the shape of a square and they had ropes between them. There just hangin' around. I took some sandpaper to the chipboard letters so they looked rustic. I matted the photo, matted the journaling. I added 3 stickers on the bottom. I added gold ribbon to the "travel" take at the top of the layout. I wanted a little sparkle to it. When I was done adding it I matted the entire piece with the same paper as the journaling. For the large Disney tag, I used a clear stamp and embossed it with black embossing powder.

This layouts leads into the next one. (You can see this from the journaling.) This show is indoor so I choose a picture of the sign.

I matted the photo, added the "B" "U" "G" and matted them as well. I hid a picture of the "bug" behind the main photo. To create the leaf, I took a mold of the leaf. Makin' Molds has many molds patterns. This is called the "leaf molds". After I cooked it, I added some Pearl Ez metallic powder to fill in the creases in it.
This was fairly easy. I double matted the photo. I added the "TREE" which I raised up with foam squares. I used twill to join each of them. I punches a whole in the sides with a hole punch and feed the thread through them. I had a wood tree which I painted. I added the alphabet punched letters and glitter glue to the edges. To finish off, I added the journaling.
